Coriolis Mass Flow Meters
Utilizing the Coriolis principle, the TCM series of flow meters are superior process control tools that allow real-time measurement of density and mass flow rate in liquids, slurries and gases. As material flows through the meter, the flow tube is vibrated and the resulting Coriolis forces are measured to determine mass flow rate and density.
Positive Displacement Gear Flow Meters
Positive displacement gear flow meters are similar in design to the gear pump. Non-intrusive hall-effect sensors detect the movement of the gears and as each gear tooth passes the sensor a square wave pulse. The resulting pulse train is proportional to the actual flow rate and provides a highly accurate representation of the fluid flow.
Variable Area Flow Meters
Variable Area flow meters, often referred to as rotameters, measure flow rate of a liquid or gas by relating linear displacement of an internal "float" or sharp-edged orifice plate (Lake) to a corresponding flow rate.
Axial & Paddle Wheel Turbine Flow Meters
Axial turbine flow meters are designed with wear resistant internal components to provide trouble-free operation and a long service life. Fluid entering the flow meter is first conditioned by the inlet flow straightener which reduces turbulence in the fluid. The moving fluid causes the rotor to spin at a speed that is proportional to its flow rate. As the blades on the rotor pass through the magnetic field of the pickup, an electronic pulse is generated. This pulse train signal can then be used to monitor the fluids actual flow rate or the total amount of fluid that has passed through the flow meter. The number of electronic pulses generated by the meter, per unit volume, is known as its K-Factor. Each flow meter is calibrated to find its unique K-Factor, which is supplied with the flow meter when purchased.
Positive Displacement Metering Gear Pumps
Positive displacement gear pumps operate on the principle that there is a fixed material volume between each tooth of the driven and idler gears within the pump. Gear pumps are sized by the volume of material moved through the pump with one revolution of the drive gear. The desired flow rate can be obtained by using a servo controlled drive motor to rotate the drive gear at the precise revolutions per minute to achieve that flow. In other words, motor RPM is proportional to the flow rate produced. Pomtava offers a number of innovative shaft sealing options to minimize wear and potential leakage, thus extending pump life and reducing maintenance costs. For applications that require a quick color change, optional by-pass systems can be incorporated onto the rear of the pumps. All Pomtava Gear Pumps are made of tempered stainless steel that can be optionally coated with even harder ADLC coatings for extended service life.
